The Tsavo East National Park is Kenya’s largest national park, a vast expanse of open plains stretching across Taita-Taveta and Kitui counties. The Galana River cuts through its arid landscape, sustaining wildlife across one of East Africa’s most extensive protected areas.
The park is home to some of Kenya’s largest elephant herds, along with significant populations of lion, buffalo and the rare Hirola antelope found nowhere else on Earth. Its scale and relatively low visitor numbers offer a genuine sense of wild Africa.
Park entry fees, opening hours and current conservation regulations are published by the Kenya Wildlife Service.
