The Ruaha National Park is Tanzania’s largest national park, a remote wilderness in the Iringa Region where the Great Ruaha River sustains one of the country’s most significant wildlife populations. Far less visited than the northern circuit, Ruaha offers a genuinely untouched safari experience.
The park holds one of East Africa’s largest lion populations along with significant numbers of elephant, buffalo and the rare African wild dog. Its rugged baobab-studded landscape and low visitor numbers make it a favorite among experienced safari travelers.
