The Amboseli National Park is Kenya’s most iconic elephant safari destination, set beneath the towering peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. Located in southern Kenya, in Kajiado County, the park is famous for hosting some of Africa’s largest and best-studied elephant herds.
Beyond its elephants, Amboseli’s swamps, dry lake beds and open plains support an impressive range of wildlife, from lion and buffalo to giraffe, zebra and over 400 recorded bird species. Few places in Africa combine such iconic scenery with such reliable wildlife viewing.
Park entry fees, opening hours and current conservation regulations are published by the Kenya Wildlife Service.
