Tarangire National Park – Tanzania
The Tarangire National Park lies in Tanzania’s Manyara Region, named for the Tarangire River that sustains wildlife through the dry season. Its landscape of ancient baobab trees and golden grassland makes it one of the most visually striking parks in the northern circuit.
During the dry months, Tarangire hosts one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, along with large herds of buffalo, zebra and wildebeest drawn to the river. Quieter than the Serengeti, it rewards visitors with a more intimate safari experience.
